Franklin Armory F17-X 17 WSM 16" 20rd Rifle

The F17-X is the 16", black version of Franklin Armory's gas piston rimfire in 17 Winchester Super Magnum. Most rimfire semi autos are simple blowback guns; this one uses an Osprey Defense slim piston, a rotating locking bolt and a dual firing pin system to run the hot little 17 WSM cartridge. The piston system adjusts on its own for suppressed or unsuppressed shooting, and the barrel is threaded 1/2-28 with an Aura muzzle brake installed, so adding a suppressor takes nothing more than a wrench.

The shorter barrel keeps the rifle handy in a truck or around the barn while keeping the flat trajectory that makes 17 WSM a strong varmint round. A Picatinny top rail on the aluminum receiver takes your optic of choice, and the 15" handguard adds M-LOK slots plus an integrated barrier stop for a steady rest off a post. Furniture is a B5 Systems Bravo stock and B5 Type 23 grip, with a custom tuned trigger and a low profile gas block under the handguard. It feeds from a 20 round polymer magazine.
