About this product
The F17-X is Franklin Armory's piston driven 17 Winchester Super Magnum rifle, here set up with a 10 round magazine. Rather than a blowback action, the F17 uses an Osprey Defense slim gas piston and a rotating locking bolt, and the piston sorts out suppressed versus unsuppressed fire by itself. The 16" barrel is threaded 1/2-28 and carries an Aura muzzle brake, so it is ready for a rimfire can or your own muzzle device.
The rest of the rifle is built out with an aluminum receiver with a Picatinny top rail and no iron sights, a 15" M-LOK handguard with an integrated barrier stop, a custom tuned trigger and an adjustable B5 Systems Bravo stock. It feeds from a 10 round polymer magazine. The 17 WSM pushes a light bullet fast and flat, which makes this compact rifle a practical pick for prairie dogs, ground squirrels and other varmints out past typical 22 WMR distances.
