Riley Defense RAK47 7.62x39mm 16.25" 30rd Polymer Rifle

The Riley Defense RAK47 Polymer is a stamped AK-47 pattern rifle in 7.62x39mm with black polymer furniture: a fixed buttstock with recoil pad, upper and lower handguards with a heat shield, and a matching pistol grip. It runs a 16.25" nitride barrel threaded M14x1 LH and feeds from 30rd magazines. Overall length is 35.25". It is the no frills workhorse of the RAK47 line.

The receiver is stamped steel and fully heat treated, and the trunnion, bolt and carrier are forged. Riley adds a bolt hold open safety lever and an extended magazine release, and a machined side rail accepts a side mount optic. Front and rear sights are adjustable and the bayonet lug is retained. The metal wears a black oxide finish, and the rifle comes with one magazine and a cleaning rod. Polymer furniture shrugs off rain, solvent and dings, and the heat shield keeps the lower handguard comfortable after a few quick magazines. For a first AK, a truck gun or a rifle you plan to shoot hard and clean later, this is a straightforward, durable choice in the most common AK chambering.
