Riley Defense RAK47 7.62x39mm 16.25" 30rd Teak Rifle

The Riley Defense RAK47 in teak is the traditional AK-47 look: a stained solid teak buttstock with matching upper and lower handguards on a black oxide stamped receiver. It is chambered in 7.62x39mm, feeds from 30rd magazines and runs a 16.25" nitride barrel threaded M14x1 LH. If you grew up on photos of wood stocked AKs, this is the one that looks right.

The receiver is stamped steel and fully heat treated, and the trunnion, bolt and carrier are forged. Riley keeps the classic silhouette but adds a few modern touches: a bolt hold open safety lever, an extended magazine release and a machined side rail for a side mount optic. Front and rear sights are adjustable, the bayonet lug is in place, and it comes with a cleaning rod and one magazine. The nitride barrel treatment resists corrosion and wear, which matters with the steel cased ammunition many AK owners feed. Teak is a dense, oily hardwood that takes knocks well and darkens with handling over time. This is a rifle equally at home at the range, in the truck or on the wall of a collector who wants a shooter rather than a safe queen.
