Zastava Arms ZPAPM70 7.62x39mm 16.3" 30rd Light Maple Rifle

The Zastava ZPAPM70 is a semi auto AK built on the operating principle of the M70 service rifle, and this version wears tiger stripe light maple furniture with a matching pistol grip and fixed stock. It is chambered in 7.62x39mm and runs a 16.3" cold hammer forged, chrome lined barrel. The receiver is the thicker 1.5mm stamped steel type with a bulged front trunnion, the feature that makes the Zastava pattern famous among AK owners, and the bolt is double stacked.

Controls are classic AK with one useful addition: a bolt hold open notch cut into the safety selector. The front and rear iron sights are adjustable, the muzzle is threaded M14x1 left hand under a slant brake, and the rifle accepts most double stack AK-47 magazines. One 30 round magazine is included, and it may be steel or a PMAG. At 7.9 lbs and 35" long, it handles like the rifle it copies. The light maple sets it apart from the usual black or walnut AK on the rack, without changing anything that matters about how it runs.
