Ruger Mini Thirty 7.62x39mm 16.12" 20rd Stainless Rifle

The Ruger Mini Thirty is the Mini-14 action scaled for 7.62x39mm, a cartridge with enough punch for deer at short and medium ranges. This model pairs matte stainless steel metal with a black synthetic stock and a 16.12" cold hammer forged barrel threaded 5/8-24 for a muzzle device or suppressor. Two 20 round magazines come with it.

The action is the familiar Garand style design: a breechbolt locking system, fixed piston gas system and self cleaning moving gas cylinder that keep running when the rifle gets dirty. Sighting is handled by a ghost ring adjustable rear aperture and a protected non glare blade front. For glass, Ruger machines scope mounts right into the solid steel receiver and includes the rings, and the receiver is also drilled and tapped for the included Picatinny rail, so you can run a traditional scope or a modern red dot without hunting down extra parts. At 6.7 lbs and under 37" long it carries easily in a truck, on a tractor or in the deer woods, and the stainless metal shrugs off wet weather better than blued steel.
