Riley Defense RAK47 7.62x39mm 16.25" 30rd Folding Rifle

The Riley Defense RAK47 side folder is part of the Riley 100 series: a stamped AK-47 pattern rifle in 7.62x39mm with a side folding triangular metal stock, black polymer upper and lower handguards and a black polymer pistol grip. It runs a 16.25" nitride barrel threaded M24x1.5 RH and feeds from 30rd magazines. With the stock folded, it fits into a shorter case or a tight vehicle space, and it weighs 9.53 lbs.

The receiver is stamped steel and fully heat treated, and the trunnion, bolt and carrier are forged. A 90 degree gas block, bayonet lug and adjustable front and rear sights keep the military layout, and Riley adds a bolt hold open safety lever, an extended magazine release and a machined side rail for a side mount optic. The metal wears a black oxide finish. It comes with one magazine and a cleaning rod. Note that the muzzle is threaded M24x1.5 right hand rather than the 14x1 left hand thread found on most AK-47 pattern rifles, so pick muzzle devices to match. The all black polymer and steel build is tough and low maintenance, a practical choice for a truck gun or a compact range rifle.
