About this product
Colt's Python is back in carbon steel, and this version wears a rugged matte blued finish over the frame, barrel and cylinder. The 2.5" barrel keeps the classic vent rib profile and ends in a recessed target crown. The fluted six shot cylinder is chambered for 357 Magnum and also handles 38 Special, so practice ammo is cheap and easy to find.
Colt redesigned the rear sight area with about thirty percent more steel beneath the fully adjustable target sight, for a stronger revolver. The front is a red ramp that the owner can swap out. Inside, the linear leaf spring action gives a smooth, non stacking pull in double action and a light break in single action. Classic panel walnut grips with the gold Colt medallion fill the hand without adding bulk. The matte finish suits a revolver that is meant to be carried and shot, not only displayed. At 8" overall it rides easily in a belt holster.
