Smith & Wesson Performance Center 627 357 Mag 2.63" 8rd Revolver

The Performance Center 627 is an eight shot N frame 357 Magnum with a short 2.63" barrel. The stainless steel frame, cylinder and barrel carry a matte silver finish, and the cylinder is cut for full moon clips, which are included. Moon clips let you load and unload all eight rounds at once, which is why this revolver is popular with action shooters as well as people who want serious capacity in a wheelgun.

Performance Center work shows in the details. The PC action uses a ball detent lock up for tight cylinder alignment, and the chrome flashed teardrop hammer and chrome flashed trigger with a stop give a smooth double action pull and a clean single action break. A dovetailed red ramp front sight and an adjustable white outline rear are fast to pick up and can be zeroed to your load. Wood grips fill the hand on the big frame. At about 37.8 oz the weight tames full power 357 Magnum, and 38 Special +P runs in it for practice. It suits competition, home defense or a heavy carry revolver for the woods.
