About the Smith & Wesson Performance
The Performance Center Model 327 puts eight rounds of 357 Magnum in a light, short barreled revolver. It is built on a scandium alloy N-frame with a titanium cylinder and barrel shroud around a 2 inch barrel, finished in matte black with wood grips. The cylinder is cut for moon clips, and moon clips come with the gun.
As a Performance Center gun it gets hand fitting the standard line does not: a PC tuned action, a PC trigger with a trigger stop, ball detent lockup and chamfered charge holes for faster reloads. The sights are a ramp front and a fixed rear, with an exposed hammer for double action or single action fire. It also chambers 38 Special for practice. Eight rounds, fast moon clip reloads and a light frame make it a strong carry or home defense revolver for someone who wants more than five or six shots. The short barrel and round butt grip keep it manageable under a jacket.
