Colt Python 357 Mag 2.5" 6rd Polished Blued Revolver

This Colt Python keeps the look that made the snake guns famous: a polished blued finish over a carbon steel frame, barrel and cylinder, with the signature vent rib on a 2.5" barrel. It is a six shot 357 Magnum that also handles 38 Special, and at 39 oz unloaded it has enough heft to keep magnum loads under control in a short barrel.

The modern Python is built stronger than the originals. Colt added about thirty percent more steel beneath the adjustable rear target sight. The red ramp front sight is user interchangeable, and the rear adjusts for windage and elevation. The trigger works double action or single action with a pull that feels like second nature. Walnut grips with the gold Colt medallion keep a slim footprint while giving a firm hold. Short barrel, deep blue, walnut and gold: it is the Python people picture, sized for the belt, and it is still a revolver built to be shot.
