Shark Coast puts together a complete AR-15 package so a first rifle does not turn into a parts list. The Grassy Knoll centers on a 16" barrel with a nitride finish, an A2 flash hider and a threaded muzzle, wrapped in an M-LOK handguard with a full length top rail. The receiver set wears a two tone green Cerakote finish, and the furniture is Magpul: an MOE SL collapsible stock and an MOE grip in OD green.

In the box with the rifle are a red dot optic, a Streamlight ProTac rail light with a pressure switch, a rifle case and a 30rd magazine. That covers the three things nearly everyone buys immediately after the gun itself. The optic mounts on the flat top receiver, the light clamps to the handguard rail, and the pressure pad rides wherever the support hand naturally sits. Direct impingement 5.56 is the most proven combination in the category, parts are available from anyone, and nothing in this build is proprietary, so a trigger swap or a new stock later is a standard AR-15 job.
