Zastava Arms ZPAPM90 5.56 NATO 18.25" 30rd Walnut Rifle

The Zastava Arms ZPAPM90 brings the M70 style AK to the 5.56 NATO cartridge. It uses an 18.25" cold hammer forged, chrome lined barrel with a 1:7 twist, threaded M14x1 left hand and fitted with an AK slant brake. The long stroke gas piston system has a three position adjustable gas block, so you can tune the rifle to your ammunition or muzzle device. The receiver is 1.5mm with a bulged trunnion for rigidity.

A walnut stock set with a fixed stock, handguards and grip gives it the classic wood AK look. Standard AKM style sights are adjustable, the safety has a bolt hold open notch, and the receiver accepts Yugo style optic side mounts. The rifle works with a number of 5.56 and 223 AK magazines, and one 30 round polymer magazine is included. It weighs 8.5 lbs and measures 39" overall. The longer barrel squeezes more velocity from the 5.56 round, and the lighter recoil makes this an easy AK to shoot well for longer strings. It fits anyone who wants a wood furniture AK but would rather feed it the same ammunition as their AR-15.
