Shark Coast Tactical Bomber 5.56 NATO 16" 30rd Rifle

The Bomber is Shark Coast Tactical's straightforward 5.56 NATO carbine, and the parts list reads like what most shooters end up building anyway. The 16 inch barrel is finished in black melonite for corrosion resistance and comes threaded at the muzzle, so a brake, a flash hider or a mount goes on without a trip to a gunsmith. The upper is a flat top with a Picatinny rail running its length, which leaves you free to run a red dot, a magnifier behind it, or a low power variable without worrying about mounting height.

Around the barrel sits an M-LOK handguard, so lights, hand stops and sling mounts attach directly to the slots instead of hanging off a rail adapter. The receiver is aluminum. Out back is a Magpul MOE SL stock paired with a Magpul MOE grip. It feeds from a 30 round magazine, and at 16 inches the barrel keeps the balance neutral enough to shoot off hand or from a barricade without feeling nose heavy. The Magpul furniture is what a lot of owners fit anyway, so there is nothing here you will want to replace on the first weekend. It is a plain, useful carbine rather than a parts catalog showpiece.
