Weatherby Backcountry 2.0 Carbon 30-378 Wby Mag 26" 2rd Left Hand Rifle

The Weatherby Mark V Backcountry 2.0 Carbon pairs Weatherby's tensioned carbon fiber barrel with the classic steel Mark V action, and this one is a left hand rifle chambered in 30-378 Weatherby Magnum. It has a 26 inch #4 contour carbon barrel, holds 2 rounds in the magazine and weighs about 6.6 pounds. Weatherby notes that a Mark V Carbonmark with this barrel set its internal accuracy record, a 0.06 inch three shot group at 100 yards with factory Select Plus ammunition.

The Peak 44 Blacktooth stock is one of the lightest production carbon fiber stocks available, and the second generation 3DHEX recoil pad collapses progressively under recoil to take the sting out of a big magnum. A titanium Accubrake ST is matched to the barrel profile. Spiral fluting on the bolt smooths the cycle, and the threaded bolt handle carries a skeletonized aluminum knob. The metal is sealed in Patriot Brown Cerakote, and the stock has a brown and green pattern to match. This is a long range magnum for elk and big game across canyons.
