Tisas 1911 Night Stalker 10mm 5" 8rd Gray Pistol

10mm in a 1911 makes sense in a way it does not in most guns. The cartridge is long, and the 1911 frame and magazine were laid out around the 45 ACP's length to begin with, so 10mm drops in without the compromises a shorter action forces. The Tisas 1911 Night Stalker 10 is the full size version: 5" barrel, carbon steel frame, single action only, and two 8 round magazines.

The Night Stalker treatment is what separates it from a plain 1911. An accessory rail is machined into the dust cover for a light. The slide is cut for weight and for grip. The frame gets extra checkering where the hand contacts it, which matters more with 10mm than with 45 because the recoil impulse is sharper and faster. Aluminum grip panels replace the usual wood or rubber. A front night sight makes the gun usable in low light without paying for a full tritium set. The finish is gray Cerakote over carbon steel, a departure from the standard black and a coating that handles holster wear and sweat far better than bluing. It carries cocked and locked like any 1911.
