Weatherby Mark V High Country 240 Wby Mag 24" 4rd Rifle

The Weatherby Mark V High Country was purpose built as a lightweight mountain rifle, and this version is chambered in 240 Weatherby Magnum. It has a 24" spiral fluted barrel that is threaded and fitted with Weatherby's Accubrake ST, a magazine that holds 4 rounds, and a Graphite Black Cerakote finish on the metal.

The stock is a Peak 44 Bastion carbon fiber design that weighs about 24 oz on its own. The Bastion has a shooter friendly vertical grip and dual front swivel studs, so a sling and a bipod can go on at the same time. Weatherby's 3DHEX recoil pad and the brake together keep recoil mild even with Weatherby magnum cartridges. The classic steel Mark V action uses a spiral fluted bolt body and a threaded bolt handle with a skeletonized knob, and a TriggerTech trigger handles the break on this right hand rifle. At about 5.7 lbs, it is a quick stepping 240 Wby Mag for deer, pronghorn and sheep in rough country.
