KelTec SU16B 5.56 NATO 16" 10rd Rifle

The KelTec SU16B, the Bravo model, is a lighter take on the original SU16. Its low profile 16 inch barrel trims about half a pound from the A model, bringing the rifle to 4.5 pounds unloaded, and it keeps the chrome lined bore and chamber. The gas piston action accepts standard AR-15 magazines, and it comes with a 10 round polymer magazine.

The stock doubles as storage: it holds two 10 round magazines or one 20 or 30 round magazine. The polymer forend folds down into a bipod, and the stock and trigger mechanism fold forward for secure storage or carry, bringing the length down to 24.9 inches. Sights are a removable aluminum front sight and an adjustable rear peep, and a Picatinny rail on top of the receiver takes an optic. Most of the rifle is high impact reinforced polymer, which is where the weight savings come from. The long travel of the bolt carrier makes the SU16 shoot smooth and flat, and the piston system keeps fouling out of the action. Throw it behind a truck seat or in a pack and it is there when you need it on the farm, at camp or at the range.
