Franklin Armory OPS-16 Piston 5.56 NATO 16" 30rd Binary Rifle

The OPS-16 pairs Franklin Armory's Osprey gas piston system with its BFSIII AR-Essential binary trigger. The piston keeps hot gas and carbon out of the receiver, so the bolt carrier group runs cleaner and cooler than a direct impingement gun, which matters when a binary trigger lets you burn through magazines quickly. In binary mode it fires once on the pull and once on the release; the single sided selector also gives safe and standard semi positions.

The 16" LTW contour barrel has a 1:7 twist and wears a Triumvir flash hider. A low profile gas block sits under a 15" handguard with M-LOK slots and an integrated barrier stop, and the aluminum upper has a Picatinny top rail with no iron sights, ready for whatever optic you run. The bolt carrier is salt bath nitride treated. B5 Systems furniture rounds it out with a SOPMOD stock and P-Grip 23. Capacity is 30 rounds, and it is a good fit for anyone who wants a piston AR that stays clean through long sessions at the range.
