Fn M249s Para 5.56x45mm Nato 16.10 inch Barrel 30+1 or 200 round belt

The FN M249S PARA brings the firepower and reliability of the M249 SAW into a compact, semi-automatic platform ideal for close quarters and airborne or armored infantry applications, featuring a 16.10" barrel with 1:7" twist and a removable steel heat shield that balances length and controllability while maintaining 5.56x45mm NATO compatibility for common rifle ammunition and belt-fed sustainment. With a 30+1 magazine option or 200-round belt capability, a steel receiver, rotating and telescoping stock with a non-slip buttplate and hydraulic recoil buffer, the PARA tames recoil for faster follow-up shots and adapts quickly between CQC and extended-range support roles; the OAL ranges 31.5" to 37" and the 16 lb weight provides a durable platform that still responds to dynamic movements. The design is optics ready for red dot or low-power variable optics, retains the crossbolt safety for intuitive handling, and can be field-converted back to the standard M249 configuration in about 30 seconds, making the FN M249S PARA a practical choice for shooters needing a semi-auto light machine gun experience with proven FN lineage and mission-focused versatility.
