About this product
The Faxon FX7 is a complete short action for a custom bolt gun: receiver, bolt, integrated recoil lug and a 20 MOA Picatinny rail, all in one part. The bolt face is the 308 size, so with an FX7 prefit barrel it builds into 308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6mm Creedmoor, 6GT or 8.6 Blackout. Prefit barrels thread on and headspace without a gunsmith, and Faxon RemAge style barrels fit as well.
The receiver body is stainless steel and the bolt is carbon steel, both with a matte DLC finish. The six lug bolt locks up in two rings of three and needs only a 70 degree lift, which keeps your hand clear of big scopes. It follows the Remington 700 short action footprint, so it takes Remington 700 pattern triggers, stocks, chassis and scope bases, and it feeds from AICS and AW pattern magazines. Some stocks may need extra inletting for the trigger hanger.
