About this product
The Faxon FX7 is a complete bolt action receiver built on the Remington 700 short action footprint, so it drops into Rem 700 short action stocks and chassis and takes Rem 700 pattern triggers and scope bases. This one has a 308 bolt face, which covers 308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6mm Creedmoor, 6GT and 8.6 BLK with the right barrel. It is sold as a bare receiver with its bolt, ready for a prefit barrel.
The receiver is machined from stainless steel and finished in polished DLC, and the bolt gets the same treatment. Six lugs in two rings of three lock up with a 70 degree throw, which leaves more room between the bolt handle and a large scope. A 20 MOA Picatinny rail and the recoil lug are integral, so there are fewer parts to bed and torque. It works with AICS and AW pattern magazines. A solid foundation for a precision or hunting build.
