Ed Brown EVO KC9 1911 9mm 4" 9rd Stainless Pistol

The Ed Brown EVO KC9 is the first model in the Evolution series and pays homage to the Kobra Carry, with the Ed Brown Bobtail, a stainless steel base and the Snakeskin treatment on the forestrap and Bobtail housing. It is optimized for 9mm, so it is smaller, thinner and lighter than the original, while keeping 100 percent 1911 controls and handling. It uses standard single stack 1911 magazines and standard 1911 grips with the Bobtail cut.

The slide was shortened to 4 inches, thinned substantially to cut weight, and given a 7 top custom cut with front and rear serrations. Updates include an external extractor, an easy to change orange HD XR front night sight, a smaller ledge style U notch rear sight, a bull barrel with a flush recessed crown, and a guide rod with a flat wire recoil spring. A recessed slide stop completes it. The grips are black G10. It is a single action 1911 that weighs about 34 oz with an empty magazine and comes with two 9 round magazines. It is hand built with fully machined parts, made to carry every day.
