About the Kimber 2K11 Pro Comp
The 2K11 Pro Comp is Kimber's double stack 1911 with the compensator machined into the slide and barrel rather than threaded onto the end of it. Kimber cuts it in as part of the gun, and the result is a significant reduction in felt recoil without a separate part hanging off the muzzle. The barrel is 4.25 inches, the Pro length in Kimber's lineup, in black DLC finished stainless.
The frame is stainless steel with a beavertail and a Picatinny rail, and the magwell is the large version for faster reloads. The slide is serrated, lightening cut and factory cut for an optic, and the sights are adjustable. Grips are Kimber's carbon fiber infused molded panels. Two 19 round magazines come with the pistol. A double stack 1911 is the whole idea here: the single action trigger and the grip angle of a 1911, a magazine that holds what a modern service pistol holds, and a compensator on the front to keep the gun flat. Kimber builds these one at a time by hand, and the 2K11 Comp is the version of that line built around shooting fast.
