Kimber 2K11 Comp 9mm 5" 20rd Pistol

The 2K11 is Kimber's double stack 1911, and the Comp is the version where the compensator is not an accessory. Rather than threading the muzzle and hanging a comp off the end, Kimber machines the port work into the slide and barrel themselves. Overall length stays where a 5" 1911 should be, nothing can work loose, and the gun tracks flat enough that a red dot barely leaves the target between shots. Each one is assembled by hand, one at a time, which is where the slide fit comes from.

Frame and slide are black stainless steel. The slide carries lightening cuts, serrations, an optic cut, and a fixed rear sight so the gun is usable before you buy a dot. Kimber's carbon fiber infused molded grip wraps the double stack frame and keeps the circumference sane for average hands, and the beavertail handles the web of the hand under recoil. Controls are pure 1911: single action trigger, thumb safety, grip safety. It comes with 17rd and 20rd magazines, so 20 rounds on tap with the longer tube.
