Kimber 2K11 Pro Comp 9mm 4.25" 19rd Stainless Pistol

Kimber's 2K11 is the company's double stack 1911, and the Pro Comp is the 4.25" version with the compensator left in place. The comp is not a bolt on accessory hanging off the muzzle. It is machined into the slide and barrel as one unit, so overall length stays short and there is nothing to shoot loose. Recoil comes back flatter and the dot or the front sight settles faster between shots, which is the whole point of running a comp. The slide is cut for a red dot on the RMR footprint, and a fiber optic front sight with an adjustable rear sits behind it in case the optic goes dark.

Everything is stainless steel, and the weight lands where it helps a shooter hold the muzzle down. Carbon fiber infused grips keep the double stack frame from feeling oversized in average hands, and the ambidextrous thumb safety covers left hand shooters without a parts order. Two 19rd magazines come in the box. Kimber builds these one at a time instead of running them down a line, and the fit between slide and frame shows it. Anyone who wants 2011 pattern capacity and a compensator without carrying a full 5" slide should handle this one first.
