About the Sig Sauer P211 GT5
The P211 GT5 is the full size version of Sig's double stack 1911, with a 5 inch target crowned bull barrel and a slide cut for a red dot on Sig's SIG-LOC PRO pattern. Frame and slide are stainless steel finished in Nitron, and an alloy grip module with G10 panels sets the circumference of the grip. A removable steel magwell hangs off the bottom for faster reloads and a Picatinny rail runs the length of the dust cover.
The Romeo-X SIG-LOC PRO red dot is mounted from the factory, with XRAY3 day and night sights giving a backup picture underneath it. The trigger is single action only with a flat skeletonized shoe, and there is a manual safety along with fully ambidextrous controls. The longer slide pushes the front sight further out and adds weight at the muzzle, which is most of the reason a full size gun is easier to shoot precisely than a carry gun. Three steel magazines come with the pistol, one 17 round and two 21 round. Between the mass of the steel and the length of the slide, this one stays flat when it is driven hard.
