About this product
The Colt Gold Cup has long been a standard for competition 1911s, and the Gold Cup Lite is the entry point into that family. This 45 ACP model runs a 5" National Match barrel and the Series 70 firing system, with a blued frame and a brushed stainless slide and stainless small parts for a two tone look. The slide is serrated, the frame carries a beavertail grip safety, and an 8 round magazine is included along with a cable lock and the manual.
The features are the ones seasoned match shooters ask for. A wide 3 hole aluminum target trigger gives a consistent finger position, a Novak red fiber optic front sight shows up fast against a target, and a Bomar style rear adjusts for windage and elevation so you can zero for your load. Checkered, scalloped G10 grips hold steady through a long string of fire. At 38 oz and 8.5" overall, the steel Government frame keeps 45 ACP recoil flat and controllable. For bullseye, steel or USPSA Single Stack, the Lite is the way into the Gold Cup family.
