Girsan Witness2311 CMXX 45 ACP 4.25" 11rd Comp Pistol

Chambered in 45 ACP, the Witness2311 CMXX puts the big bore 1911 cartridge behind an integral compensator and a double stack grip. An 11rd magazine in 45 ACP is a real jump over a single stack 1911, and the comp turns the slow heavy push the cartridge is known for into something much flatter. The 4.25" bull barrel locks up directly in the slide, and the compensator is part of the barrel rather than a separate piece threaded on the end.

Girsan pulled the grip safety out of the design and covered its function with an automatic firing pin block, which leaves a slimmer grip and one less thing to defeat under stress. The thumb safety works from both sides, the trigger is tuned before it leaves the plant, and the slide has lightening cuts along with an RMSc optic cut and 3 dot sights. Texturing wraps the grip module, the beavertail is extended, and the magwell is flared. A Picatinny rail sits under the dust cover. Anyone who already owns 1911s will find the controls familiar and many parts interchangeable, which is unusual in the double stack corner of the market and makes this an easy gun to grow into.
