Colt 1911 Classic Government 45 ACP 5" 7rd Pistol

The Colt 1911 Classic is a tribute to the Commercial Government Model pistols of the past. It uses the Series 70 firing system with period rollmarks, a 5" National Match barrel, a staked on front sight and a spurred hammer. The slide and frame are blued steel, the grips are double diamond checkered rosewood, and the single stack magazine holds 7 rounds of 45 ACP.

There is nothing extra here, and that is the point. Colt built it as a pure, simple 1911 for the owner to shoot and make their own. The Series 70 lockwork is the setup many 1911 purists prefer for the feel of its single action trigger. Fixed sights and a serrated slide keep the lines clean, and the all steel build keeps 45 ACP recoil soft and controllable. It is equally at home on the range, in a collection of classic Colts or in the nightstand, and it comes in a hard plastic case.
