Browning BAR MK3 30-06 Sprg 22" 4rd Nickel Walnut Rifle

The BAR MK3 is Browning's classic walnut autoloader, the rifle that set the standard for semi auto hunting rifles, in the third generation styling. This one is chambered in 30-06 with a 22 inch polished blued hammer forged sporter barrel, the combination a lot of deer and elk camps still run. The aluminum alloy receiver wears a satin nickel finish with high relief engraving, and the Grade II Turkish walnut stock has an oil finish and cut checkering, so it looks as good on the rack as it works in the field.

The BAR earns its reputation for accuracy with a gas system and seven lug rotating bolt that locks directly into the barrel. A rigid action bar and inertia block link up to cut barrel vibration, and a buffer system eases wear on the action. Felt recoil is lighter than a bolt gun in the same caliber, which helps with fast follow up shots. Cartridges feed from a 4 round detachable box magazine in a hinged floorplate. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts, the trigger is gold plated, a crossbolt safety sits behind it, and an Inflex recoil pad finishes the stock.
