Winchester SXP High Grade Upland Field 12 GA 28" 4rd Shotgun

This is the 28" barrel version of Winchester's SXP High Grade Upland Field, the pump gun the company builds for bird hunters who want something better looking than black synthetic in the truck. Grade II walnut with a satin oil finish makes up the stock and forend, and the aluminum alloy receiver is gloss blued with an engraved upland game scene worked into both sides. The barrel is finished in black chrome with a vent rib and a TruGlo fiber optic front bead.

The mechanism is straight Super X Pump. A rotary bolt with four locking lugs engages the barrel directly, and the inertia assisted action is genuinely quick; shooters who came up on other pumps often short stroke it the first few times because the forend moves faster than they expect. Chambers are cut for 3" shells and the magazine holds 4rd of 2.75" loads. Winchester's speed plug system gets the plug in and out without tools when a hunt calls for a plugged gun. Three Invector-Plus tubes cover full, modified, and improved cylinder. The crossbolt safety reverses for southpaws and an Inflex pad takes the sting out of heavy loads. At 28" the barrel swings smoother on crossing birds and holds the follow through better, which is why most upland and dove hunters reach for this length over the shorter one.
