AutoBuck exists because a lot of buckshot is loaded either too light to cycle a gas gun or so hot it beats the action apart. Winchester picked 1325 fps as the middle ground, fast enough to work the bolt on most semi autos and mild enough that follow up shots stay fast. It runs in pump and break action guns too.
