About this product
The Mossberg 590S Shockwave adds the 590S trick to the short pump gun: it cycles 1.75", 2.75" and 3" shells, and you can load any mix of them without an adapter. Capacity depends on what you load. That is 8rd with 1.75" shells, 5rd with 2.75" and 4rd with 3". Mini shells are what get you the 8rd figure, and that is worth knowing before you buy, since a tube of standard shells holds fewer.
The 14.375" heavy walled barrel is cylinder bore with a bead front sight. Control comes from the Raptor birdshead grip and a corncob forend with a strap. Standard Mossberg pump features are all here: dual extractors, twin action bars, steel to steel lockup and an anti jam elevator. The top mounted safety works for either hand, and the magazine has a clean out tube with a cap. Barrel finish is matte blued and the receiver is black anodized with an engraved logo. It is a compact option for home defense and for a truck or camp gun.
