The SXP has a reputation as the fastest pump gun on the counter, and the short, light forend stroke is most of the reason why. This Universal Hunter build wears Mossy Oak Bottomland from muzzle to buttpad, the pattern turkey and waterfowl hunters reach for when the cover is brown and broken. The 24" barrel keeps it handy in a blind or a treestand, and the 3.5" chamber means light target loads and the heaviest goose and turkey payloads run through the same gun.

Winchester included the parts hunters usually buy after the fact. Four Invector-Plus choke tubes cover open to tight, a removable Picatinny rail sits on the receiver for a red dot, and a TRUGLO Long Beard fiber optic front sight gets you on a gobbler head fast. The trigger guard opening is oversized for gloved fingers and the safety button reverses for left hand shooters. An Inflex Technology recoil pad takes the sting out of 3.5" loads, and sling swivel studs are already installed. The receiver is aluminum alloy and the stock is composite with textured gripping surfaces, so the whole package stays light enough to carry through a long morning. Chamber and bore are hard chrome plated, which matters on a gun that spends its life wet.
