Weatherby Mark V Live Wild 280 AI 24" 4rd Rifle

The Weatherby Mark V Live Wild was designed with hunter and guide Remi Warren, who wanted a rifle for a wide range of hunts built on the Mark V action. This one is chambered in 280 Ackley Improved with a 24 inch spiral fluted barrel, a 4 round magazine and a weight of about 5.8 pounds. The muzzle is threaded 1/2-28 and wears a radial Accubrake ST.

Remi loaded the rifle with the features he wanted in the field: an adjustable TriggerTech trigger, spiral fluting on both the barrel and the bolt, a skeletonized bolt knob and a hand painted stock with a black and grey sponge pattern. The barrel, receiver and trigger guard are finished in Carbon Grey Cerakote, with the bolt, knob and safety in graphite black. A hinged floorplate makes unloading simple. The 1:9 twist handles the heavy for caliber 7mm bullets that make the 280 AI a strong choice for elk, mule deer and black bear.
