VKTR Industries VK-1 5.56 NATO 13.7" 30rd Sniper Gray Rifle

The VK-1 runs a piston operating system instead of routing gas back into the receiver, which keeps carbon and heat out of the area where the bolt carrier lives. VKTR pins and welds the muzzle device to the 13.7 inch barrel rather than leaving it removable, so the muzzle end is a permanent part of the barrel. The 12.5 inch M-LOK handguard covers nearly all of it and leaves room to run a hand well forward.

Controls are ambidextrous at both the magazine release and the bolt catch, which matters more than people admit once a support hand gets involved. The receiver set is aluminum wearing Sniper Gray Cerakote with a Picatinny top rail, and the furniture is Magpul: an MOE SL stock and a K2 grip, both black. VKTR machines the bolt carrier as one piece with a revised cam path and a chrome finish for smoother cycling, and beefs up the buffer retainer with an angled strike face so the buffer assembly does not chew it up over a long service life. Thirty rounds on tap, a light front end and a cleaner running system than a standard gas gun.
