Taylor's 1875 Outlaw 9mm 5.5" 6rd Revolver

The Taylor's 1875 Outlaw is a reproduction of the 1875 Remington single action, built by Uberti and chambered here in 9mm Luger. It has a 5.5" blued round barrel, a blued half fluted 6 round cylinder, a forged blued steel frame and a two piece walnut grip. Sights are a fixed blade front and a notch in the frame. Weight is 2.5 lbs and overall length is 10.80".

Remington built the 1875 to compete with Colt's Single Action Army, carrying over the solid frame and the webbed ejector rod housing from its 1858 percussion revolvers. That web under the barrel is the giveaway that you are looking at a Remington pattern gun, and the original was carried by Frank James for most of his outlaw career. This version keeps the spring retained cylinder pin and the period styling but chambers 9mm, so you can shoot it often without hunting for specialty cowboy loads. Recoil is mild in a steel framed gun of this size. It has a manual cylinder pin safety and a traditional firing pin on the hammer, so carry it with the hammer down on an empty chamber.
