Taylor's 1873 TC9 9mm 5.5" 6rd Revolver

The Taylor's TC9 is an 1873 single action revolver chambered in 9mm Luger, built by Pietta. It has a 5.5" blued round barrel, a blued half fluted 6 round cylinder, a color case hardened steel frame and a two piece checkered black plastic grip in the Navy size. Sights are a fixed blade front with a notch cut into the frame, it weighs 2.5 lbs, and it measures 11.10" overall.

The point of the TC9 is ammunition. It gives you the feel and loading routine of a classic Colt pattern single action, loading gate and ejector rod included, but it runs on the most common centerfire pistol round on the shelf. That makes practice and cowboy action matches easy to feed, and the mild 9mm recoil in a gun this heavy is easy on the hand for new shooters. The gun carries a manual cylinder pin safety and a traditional firing pin on the hammer, so load five and keep the hammer down on an empty chamber as with any traditional single action. The black grip is a durable choice for a gun that will get handled a lot.
