Taylor's 1873 Taylor Tuned 357 Mag 20" 10rd Pistol Grip Rifle

The Taylor's 1873 Taylor Tuned rifle is the pistol grip version of the classic 1873 lever action, chambered in 357 Magnum with a 20" octagon barrel and a 10 round tubular magazine. The receiver is color case hardened, the barrel and small parts are blued, and the stock is checkered walnut with a pistol grip buttstock and a matching checkered forend. Sights are the traditional buckhorn rear and blade front, the setup most 1873 shooters grew up with.

Taylor Tuned is Taylor's own action package. The internals are hand polished, the hammer, lever and magazine tube springs are swapped for custom springs, and the action is lightened overall. You feel it in a smoother, easier lever stroke and a lighter hammer and trigger, which counts when you are running a stage at a cowboy action match and every cycle matters. This version does not use short stroke links and comes without leather accessories. At 7.9 lbs and 39" overall the rifle hangs well offhand, and the pistol grip gives a more modern hold than the straight stock 1873 for shooters who prefer it.
