Taylor's 1892 Alaskan Takedown 44 Mag 16" 5rd Chrome Rifle

The Taylor's 1892 Alaskan Takedown is a 44 Magnum lever action built for hunting rather than cowboy matches. It has a 16" half octagon barrel threaded 5/8-24 with a thread protector installed, a 5 round tubular magazine, a durable matte chrome finish and a stock and forend covered in black overmolded soft touch rubber with a rubber butt pad. Weight is 5.9 lbs and overall length is 34".

Sights are a rear peep on a Weaver style rail with a red fiber optic front, and the barrel is drilled and tapped for scout mount optics and Weaver 61 bases, so you can stay with irons or run a long eye relief scope or red dot forward. The action is tuned for Hornady LEVERevolution ammunition and uses a D shaped lever. Takedown follows the original 1892 method: open the lever, use the disassembly lever on the magazine tube to unscrew it, then rotate the barrel 90 degrees to separate it from the receiver at the interrupted threads. Large brakes or suppressors may need to come off first. Broken down, it packs into a truck, plane or backpack.
