Taylor's 1892 Alaskan Takedown 44 Mag 16" 7rd Chrome Rifle

The Taylor's 1892 Alaskan Takedown is a hunting focused 44 Magnum lever action with a 16" barrel, a 7 round tubular magazine and a matte chrome metal finish. The stock and forend have a black overmolded rubber soft touch coating with a padded butt, so the rifle stays grippy in rain and cold and does not mind getting knocked around. It measures 34" overall, built by Chiappa on the 1892 action.

The 1892 is Browning's compact lever design, slick and strong, and 44 Magnum out of a 16" barrel gives real authority on deer and hogs at woods ranges. Sights are a Skinner style peep rear and a front sight, and the barrel is drilled and tapped for scout mount optics and Weaver 61 bases if you want glass. The action is tuned to run Hornady LEVERevolution ammunition. Takedown lets you separate the barrel from the receiver, so it packs short for a truck, a plane or a backpack and goes back together the same way. The chrome finish shrugs off weather that would spot a blued gun, which is the whole idea behind the Alaskan name.
