Henry H12 Explorer Carbine 44 Mag 16.5" 7rd Burnt Bronze Rifle

Henry finished the H12 Explorer Carbine in burnt bronze Cerakote across the receiver, barrel and outer magazine tube, then set it against American walnut. The look is custom shop without the wait, and the coating does real work against weather and wear. Under the color it is a 44 Magnum lever carbine with a 16.5" round barrel, a 1:20 twist, and 5/8x24 threads at the muzzle for a brake or a suppressor. Capacity is seven rounds, and it will run 44 Special just as happily for lighter practice.

Sights are a fully adjustable semi buckhorn rear with a diamond insert over a brass bead front, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope mount if you want magnification. The pistol grip stock carries a ventilated recoil pad and a 14" length of pull, which makes full house magnum loads pleasant instead of punishing, and sling swivel studs are already installed. At 6.59 pounds it carries easily through thick timber, which is exactly where a short 44 lever carbine earns its keep. A transfer bar safety means it can be carried loaded with the hammer down.
