Taurus Judge 45 Colt/410 3" 5rd Two Tone Revolver

Three inches of barrel turns the Judge into something that fits a nightstand drawer or a truck console. The tradeoff is an honest one. A 410 pattern opens up fast out of a short tube, so with shot this is a close range proposition measured in feet rather than yards. Inside that distance, a load of 410 buckshot out of a five shot revolver is a great deal of gun to be on the wrong end of.

Switch to 45 Colt and the same cylinder handles a heavy, slow bullet that has been settling arguments since the 1870s. The current Judge carries a fiber optic front sight, a fixed rear, a transfer bar safety, and a rubber grip that takes the sting out of full power loads. The finish is two tone, a stainless barrel and frame against a black cylinder. The cylinder is cut for 2.5" 410 shells, so both the short target loads and buckshot chamber, and the frame is sized around that long cylinder rather than around a normal 45 Colt gun, which is why a Judge looks the way it does.
