Taurus 856 Ultra-Lite 38 Spl 2" 6rd Copper Revolver

The Taurus 856 Ultra-Lite gives you six rounds of 38 Special in a small frame revolver that most shooters expect to hold five. The frame is aluminum, so the gun carries far lighter than an all steel snub nose, and it wears a copper finish that is a real departure from the usual black or gray carry gun. Barrel and cylinder are matte stainless, which gives the copper something to play against and resists sweat and holster friction. The soft rubber Taurus grip fills the hand and takes the sting out of the recoil a light revolver produces with +P defensive loads.

Up front is a serrated ramp front sight paired with a fixed rear notch, the simple setup that works at the short distances a 2" revolver actually gets used at. The hammer is fully concealed, so there is no spur to catch on a jacket lining or a pocket seam during the draw, and the trigger is double action only, one long consistent press every time. A transfer bar sits between the hammer and the firing pin and only moves into position when the trigger is pulled all the way through, so the gun rides safely with all six chambers loaded. The 856 is rated for 38 Special +P, so defensive ammunition is on the menu. It works as a primary carry gun, a backup, or a bedside revolver anyone in the house can run.
