About this product
The Model 686 Plus from Smith & Wesson's 3-5-7 Magnum Series is a collector oriented version of one of the most popular revolvers ever made. This one has a 3 inch barrel, a 7 round unfluted cylinder and custom black and silver wood grips with a 357 logo. The L-frame, barrel and cylinder are stainless steel in a satin finish, and it fires 357 Magnum or 38 Special +P.
The 686 is a double action and single action workhorse that law enforcement and sport shooters have trusted for decades. The square butt frame, forged hammer and trigger, exposed hammer and red ramp front sight with an adjustable white outline rear make it quick to shoot well. At about 36.8 ounces and 8.3 inches long, the 3 inch barrel balances carry size with enough weight to tame magnum recoil. It is a strong pick for the nightstand, the range or the safe.
