Sig Sauer M400 Forge 5.56 NATO 16" 30rd FDE Romeo-MSR Rifle

The M400 Forge is Sig Sauer's working AR-15, and it arrives ready to shoot rather than ready to upgrade. The 16 inch cold hammer forged barrel runs a mid length gas system, which stretches the pressure curve out and takes some harshness out of the cycle compared to a carbine length gun. A Romeo-MSR Gen II sits on the receiver rail with a 2 MOA dot, so there is no scrounging for an optic and mount after the fact. Fire control is a TriggerTech two stage flat blade duty trigger, a real step up from the mil spec trigger usually found on a rifle at this level.

The 15 inch M-LOK handguard floats free of the barrel and carries a top rail the length of the upper for backup irons or a magnifier. An ambidextrous charging handle speeds up support hand work, and the Magpul SL-K stock adjusts through six positions. The flat dark earth receiver set and handguard break up the usual black carbine look without going loud. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, it feeds from a 30 round magazine and accepts any standard AR-15 magazine already in your bag. An A2 flash hider covers 1/2-28 muzzle threads, so a brake or a suppressor mount goes on with a wrench.
