Shark Coast Tactical Holmes 5.56 NATO 10.5" 30rd Pistol

This is the short version of the Holmes build from Shark Coast Tactical, a 5.56 NATO pistol with a 10.5" black nitride barrel and a threaded muzzle. The aluminum receiver wears a full length Picatinny rail, and the handguard uses M-LOK slots, so a light, a hand stop or a sling mount attaches at the position the support hand actually wants instead of the one a fixed rail dictates.

An SB Tactical SBA3 brace sits at the rear on the receiver extension, and the grip is polymer. Capacity is 30 rounds. Dropping the barrel from 16" to 10.5" takes a lot of length out of a 5.56 gun, which is the whole reason this configuration exists: it stores in places a carbine will not fit and it comes out of a case ready without a stock to deploy. The cost is noise and flash, and the threaded muzzle is where that gets addressed, with a brake, a blast diverter or a suppressor mount. Between the compact length, the adjustable brace and a full 30 round magazine, it sits in the slot a lot of shooters fill with a pistol caliber gun but with a real rifle cartridge behind it.
