Ruger Hawkeye Hunter 204 Ruger 24" 5rd Stainless Walnut Rifle

The Ruger Hawkeye Hunter pairs classic looks with a few modern touches, and in 204 Ruger it makes a sharp varmint and predator rifle. The 24" barrel is free floated, cold hammer forged stainless steel with 5R rifling, and it is threaded 1/2-28 with a thread protector installed, ready for a brake or suppressor. Metal is satin stainless, set in an American walnut stock with rounded contours and wrap around checkering on the grip and forend.

On top, a 20 MOA Picatinny rail is held by four screws over Ruger's integral scope mounts, giving extra elevation for long range dialing. The LC6 trigger is smooth and crisp out of the box. Underneath it all is the Hawkeye action: a non rotating Mauser type controlled round feed extractor, a fixed blade ejector, a one piece stainless bolt and a three position safety that lets you lock the bolt or load and unload with the safety on. The internal magazine holds 5 rounds and empties through a hinged solid steel floorplate with a flush latch. At 8 lbs it holds steady for small targets at distance.
