Rock River Arms A1 SBR 5.56 NATO 10.5" 30rd Rifle

Rock River Arms built this one with a retro flavor: a forged upper receiver with a fixed carry handle, an A1 style triangular carbine handguard, and a 10.5" lightweight barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO. The carry handle means the rear sight is already on the gun and protected by the handle ears, and the A1 handguard is round, slim and comfortable to hold without a rail digging into a bare hand.

Because this is a factory short barrel rifle, it wears a shoulder stock rather than a brace, and that combination is what a lot of shooters actually want from a 5.56 carbine: something that clears doorways and rides in a bag with a real stock behind it. The finish is black, the magazine holds 30 rounds, and the M4 pattern build means replacement furniture, triggers and optic mounts are available everywhere. Rock River has been building on the AR-15 and AR-10 platforms for the law enforcement and civilian markets for decades, and the A1 SBR is one of the plainer, more classic looking guns in that catalog. Nothing on it is fashionable, which is rather the point.
